The walk up whilst steep is rewarded with magnificent views of Verona. I think the funicular only operates in summer months so check. We went up after dark to see verona by night. Recommended

We took a taxi, which wasn't expensive and took us right to the top. The view of Verona and the surrounding countryside is spectacular. Be sure to stop at the cafe, which has good coffee and drinks, and seemed like it would be a wonderful...More

Can take the funincular up and walk down. Visit the restaurant/ bar there for a drink overlooking this lovely city. Poor service but is still worth it just for the location.

Don't let the climb stop you, the view from the top is amazing! There's some shade and benches to relax on and enjoy the view and also a water fountain to refill your water bottle. Excellent, free spot to visit!

It is 300 metres and about 7 minutes to walk. I didn't count the steps though :-)
