Lovely views both up and down the river. Apparently the bridge was bombed in WWII and rebuilt using mainly the original materials. You can feel the love and pride that went into that rebuilding process. Great restaurants nearby (see my other reviews).

This is a pedestrian only bridge and crossing it takes you to the steps up to Castel San Pietro. Many say this is a grueling climb but we did it easily even in the heat of the day. From the top three are great views....More

our appartment was in the vicinity so this was our usual scenic entrance to the old town - romantic, but also refreshing - looking at the cold lively alpine river below the bridge, especially on such a hot (35+ deg. C) day.

Beautiful at night and equally during the day. You can walk down to the river as it has some shallow points! Stunning vistas from the bridge.

When you walk over the bridge you really feel as if you are walking on history. It is a beautifully restored bridge that has still the feel as if you are the one that is out of place and time and should actually be wearing...More

Take a walk through small alleys from Arena, 20 minutes, and then hit the bride with its open space. The effect is amazing. Great picture opportunity of both banks of the river. A must in Verona. The Pinocchio artist was impressive. Totally still and not...More

Ponte Pietra is one of the main bridges connecting the residential area to the historic part of the city. In the evenings you will find entertainment on the bridge.
