The heart of Casinò di Venezia beats on the Grand Canal in Ca' Vendramin Calergi, the sophisticated theatre of the most classic games. In 1638 the Casinò di Venezia quickly established itself as the centre of entertainment of international notoriety while in the 1950s it moved to this location.

A bit weird and a throw-back. On three floors - casino at top. All very interesting and good fun. The entrance fee of 10E is given to you as a chip. Fairly quiet but quite nice for something different to do. Easiest to find by...More

We try and visit a Casino in each country we visit. Directions of where to go upon arrival are not good, but once you have your 'rented' dinner jacket, up you go to the Casino. Drinks prices were okay and its worth visiting just for...More

Not something extremely special . If you visit it you will love the place mostly about its style and architecture than about it being a casino.there is no particular dress code as there where people dressed casually inside.

Been to few casinos in my time but I’ve never experienced such a dull atmosphere, ever. It’s small and dated. It’s free entry if you enter before 5pm and afterwards they charge €10 each, which is converted into one €10 chip for you to bet...More

I won't even bother comparing it to Vegas and Macau as it has no atmosphere whatsoever. It's small, bright and quiet. The bar area was basic and the prices were as expected for Venice. There were five roulette tables open, three black jack tables and...More

If James Bond played at an Italian casino, this would be it. The dealers wear suits and it has a very James Bond vibe. Downstairs there are slots and upstairs you can play table games (roulette, blackjack etc.). You need to pay 10 euro to...More

Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
