Amazing National Park, including the infamous Gran Paradiso. Definitely recommend dayhikes around the park or climbing one of the challenging tops. Stopping at the Chabod hut for a lovely lunch is recommended!

We drove from Aosta to Cogne to view the wildflower meadow. It was not in bloom. But we walked in the meadow on the path, and took a stroll in the city of Cogne. We had blueberry pie and cappuccino in a small bar.

We spent several days around Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso. wonderful hiking and back packing trails. Beautiful villages and even Roman aqueduct ruins. The town of A'osta is nearby and offers great lodging, dining and night life. We will return as soon as possible.

I spent over a week hiking through the Gran Paradiso National Park, where I visited different sections. As I was staying in St Pierre, I just took a circular bus to Aosta and then took another bus to Cogne, where I based my days hiking.

Should be on everyone's bucket list. Breathtaking views of dramatic mountains, waterfalls and lush meadows. A free shuttle bus takes you from Cogne to Valnontey and and to Lillaz.
