Same time you can see Leonardo's horse and watch gallop races without entrance fees or queuing. Currently races are organized every Wednesday so this is a nice change for crowded areas of downtown.

We originally went to se game on San Siro, Milan vs Genoa but accidentally went in Ippodromo to take a picture of Leonardo's Horse. What happened is that race was starting in 30 minutes and we stay to look at it. Amazing experience :-)

This racetrack is amazing to see so well laid out but surrounded by busy roads. Never saw anything like it! Very flat and compact but functional.

If you go to the racecourse you should definetly have lunch or dinner at the restaurant Canter, the wonderful location placed inside the "Ippodromo San Siro". I felt in love with it, most of all with two of their desserts, cannoncini and tiramisú... I have...More

We went to see Placebo here, amazing, one of the best nights of my life. The place is perfect for concerts and I liked how they would only let a few people at a time in to avoid accidents. Placebo are amazing though even if...More

The hippodrome is really large, and the impressive bronze horse statue (replica of Leonardo's horse, donated by privade donors from US) comes right at the entrance. And the outside walls are also interesting - with nice graffiti. I suggest stopping here when visiting the soccer...More
