We were only in Milan for a few days, but after having good looks at the Brera and Ambrosiana, we had had our fill of the Jesus and Mary stuff. So we checked out three galleries that are billed as having worthwhile collections of 19th...More

Although a novice to opera, this historical and world renowned opera house is a "must see" for any visitor. Entrance includes the museum as well as view of the famous opera house stage.

The Caravaggio exhibition is a joke if you are expecting to see several Caravaggio's paintings as there is just a single one exhibited, the other have been painted by his followers or contemporaries. BUT, I went to other rooms far from the crowd and I...More

Really a fabulous collection. We went to see the "Ultimo Caravaggio" exhibit and I wondered WHY on earth I had never seen the inside of this wonderful museum before. The particular exhibit was luscious. Good mixed media and a real explanation of Caravaggio's influence and...More

Fantastic gallery. Nice mix of contemporary and classic art. Remember to explore everywhere though, it’s not particularly easy to find your way around and you can miss large parts of it if you are not careful.

in a former bank, belle epoque architecture is now a lovely container for all kinds of amazing art. Revolving exhibits, and an incredible collection of Lombard painting.

The gallery makes the most of a rather eccentric collection, brought together from the art holdings of various banks. But in the end it feels disjointed, and has to fight the rather overwhelming architecture of the 3 palazzi which house it. The cafe staff were...More
