Seeing the wall and ceiling frescoes by Andrea Mantegna were the highlight of our visit to Mantova. If you are at all interested in art, see this!

For €12 you get a ticket for this and the huge Palazzo Ducale. This is the highlight though. You have 5 minutes in the room so make the most of it!

The room is beautiful! You have to wait outside for some time and then you have 5 min to take it all in (timed by a member of the staff). They let in around 20 pax per turn.

Tagged as once the most beautiful room in the world we were keen to witness it ourselves. It was very pleasant. You are given a specific slot and have to go at your allotted time.

Must see the spectacular Mantegna dome with trompe l’oeil fresco. Beautiful frescos in majestic stairways leading to the Camera.

Fantastic place, full of art and history. The tourist guide was really knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She told us a lot of anectodes and highlighted many interesting elements of the masterpieces.
