A wonderful architectural expression of the Catholic Reformation of the sixteenth century, luminous and elegantly proportioned. The original Antegnati organ (1565) is justly famous.

The open character of this church, just next to the Castello di San Giorgi, makes it a nice prologue to the Castello visit; just go walk and see, you'll see also some of the marks the earthquake 2012 has left on the church.

This church is in the Palazzo Ducale complex. It was the palace chapel commissioned by Gulgielmo I Gonzaga as his final resting place. It contains painting by Lorenzo Costa the Younger, and an impressive Renaissance organ. In October, it was only open on Sundays except...More

It is well worth looking out when visiting the Cathedral for advertisements for concerts which take place here. The atmoshphere is very serene and the accoustics are extremely good.
