Lovely area with many spots to walk along the walls and in surrounding garden. Interesting architecture comparable to Verona it felt at times.

This is a vast collection of paintings, tapestries, Roman and Greek sculpture; all on display in an incredibly beautiful building. In our opinion, the collection rivals the Vatican Museums, and the building is what the House of Habsburg hoped to accomplish in Vienna.

This is, I believe, a finer example than Castel del Angelo in Rome or the Castle in Ferrara. Well maintained, with fine exhibits throughout.

Well preserved castle from medieval times. Well preserved but moat water should be kept fresh. Nice green surroundings

You can combine this visit with the Palazzo Ducale. Impresive, well preserved buildings with many frescos, history. Some strict rules about the visit, so bring your patience and you will have a good time.
