Please wear good walking shoes for this trip, great walk and lovely experience. Just watch for insects or use insect repellent. We took 3 hours to finish.

Nice hike through small villages, woods and farmland. Wonderful view of the lake from parts of the track. We recomend that you get some guidance of the route from the touristinfo before you start - the signing could be better.

We have done this walk several times and in both directions. It's a fairly easy walk, even in the heat as there is lots of shade in the trees. Lots of great views and interesting things to look at on the way, and the path...More

A very enjoyable walk with some ups and some downs but great sites of the lake and aged ruins. Trail markings could be better but a bit of thought and awareness will keep one on the straight and narrow. Check the ferry schedule in advance...More

A good easy walk with views of the Lago Maggiore. If you take the train from Stresa to Belgirate, it takes five minutes. Walk slowly back to Stresa and be back in time for the next meal.

I did this walk (from Stresa to Belgirate) on my second day at Lago Maggiore and it was beautiful. It started to drizzle about halfway on the trail, but I found shelter under abandoned cottage ruins and a niche altar, so not only did I...More

Nice little walking route, not the best signage in the world but easy enough, gets the heart rate going at some points but fully accessible, some cracking views

This is route L2, from Stresa to Belgirate, which follows the ridgeline above Lake Maggiore for the most part. The route was most interesting due to the ancient walls and abandoned dwellings that it passes, with several nice views over the Lake towards the Swiss...More
