We visited here on our honeymoon during one sunny morning. Best was to describe it is a cross between a well-cultivated garden, a small petting zoo, and an aviary. Perhaps unusually (considering the name), you can't actually visit the villa, and the easy around is...More

The place has reopened in the beginning of August. We visited on a hot summer day. Lots of shade available and a nice stroll in this huge park with centuries old trees. The kids had a very good time with the farm animals. Too bad...More

This park is currently closed. We visited early June to find it all closed up. It is changing owners. The website is still up but if you go to opening times at the very bottom of the page you'll find it is closed.

I had to ask myself do I want to visit a minor attraction near the pleasant lakeside town of Stressa considering the plethora of great and famous locations nearby? I needn't have worried because it is a garden that sells itself as a wildlife park....More

So we didn't visit on the best day as it was damp. But it just seemed in need of a bit of TLC to us. Felt a bit abandoned to be honest.

Like millions of guests who visited this beautiful site we have nothing to add to its beauty, however we were somewhat disappointed from several services that to our point of view are not negligible. The toilets are disgusting, none of the restaurants/café were open, and...More

Within easy 15 minutes walking distance from Stresa. The park is extensive and well maintained however at the end of the season the restaurants and cafe bars are closed - this spoilt our visit as it would have been so nice to have has a...More

Nice walk from downtown Stresa. Visited the "zoo" first. There is a small collection of many birds, goats, a couple zebra, couple llama, north American skunk. The cages are old, limited space for the animals. Made me sad, I wanted to release them.

great gardens and animal park. 2 criticisms make signage at ticket desk a little more professional, hand written and weather worn paper not good, also althought animals looked well looked after, not sure keeping solo owls in small aviaries kind? otherwise a lovely visit.

It is easy top walk around, but it is on a hill. You better take the little train from Stresa main square so to arrive at the top and then walk down. Come and see us!
