This is a great public service that is very cheap and runs regular ferries to all destinations on Lake Maggiore. When you arrive in Stresa (or any of the towns) look for the large Navagatzione ticket building. Do not do as I did when I...More

The official lake transport is cheaper than the private concerns who will harrass you into one of their trips. Don't bother, you can get everywhere you would want to on the Navigazione and it's easy to buy tickets and a very smooth ride.

Nice to visit the islands with the smaller boats. The frequency is good. Next time i only would choose isla Bella. Isla pescatory was old and not that nice.

Best to get the day hop-on-hop off ticket to allow you to visit all three islands (and other stops) in a day. Runs to time (every 30 mins) and is very reliable. You but the tickets from the official ticket office - its now €17.80...More

There is always the public one which are big boats stopping every 30 minutes. Those will be there anyway. The private ones are smaller and are there each one hour.

Hi! Yes I went in late April. Weather was gorgeous☀️sun shining, water was choppy but all was well! The best time to go, before heavy tourist season kicks in.
