We stopped in at Baveno for a coffee and croissant at The Clipper Cafe; parking (paid) and cafe are right next to the boat pier on the lake front. We took a wander across the main road and just up the hill to the church....More

Just returned from 8 days in Baveno. Beautiful place. Sailed out and visited all the lovely Islands on Lake Maggiore. Well worth a visit. Lots of lovely restaurants. Stayed in Hotel Azalea and had a view overlooking the lake. Very friendly staff. Rooms spotlessly clean.

Worth the short climb up the steps to see the artwork. The old clock tower is lovely and chimes regularily

All the parking places along the lakeside are free of charge and just 5 min. Walking from the church. There is also Marinai d'Italia square just behind the imbarcadero (boat station) which is free of charge during winter... More
