I did not expect to find a medieval castle in Italy, but this is exactly what this looks like, complete with moat. You expect to see a knight in shining armor come out the gate at any moment. Very picturesque castle from the outside, although...More

Spectacular Roman villa at the north point of the Sirmioni peninsula at the south of Lake Garda. The size of this villa is awe-inspiring.

Sirmoine is beautiful and easy to park and walk around the compact old town. This castle is a must & worth buying joint ticket for this + the Roman ruins. The castle is small & doesn't take long but climb up and enjoy the views....More

Totally worth the vizit. You get to learn something about the history of the reagon, feel like in middle-age and have a great view over Sirmione.

We took some great pictures inside and out of the castle, especially at night. The entrance fee was a bit steep for only a photographic experience, though. Glad we went.

If you climb all the way to the top, the pictures are beautiful. There are different views such as the lake and different houses in the background painted colourfully.

We visited the castle fairly early in the day so there was no queue at all. We also bought a duo ticket to go and visit the Grotte as well, which made it slightly cheaper. I don't like heights but because it was quiet we...More

There is an entrance ticket to the archaeological site. The castle is in the centre of the village, you can't miss it. There are toilet facilities too.

Take a look at the working hours for the castle on their web pages... I went to Scalinger Castle in the summer, and on Sunday it was working only till 13h.
