We visited Bergamo to see this beautiful village, and a great way to get there is the funicular. Spectacular views, incredible engineering to hoist this red cable car up this incline. And then to visit Bergamo - icing on the cake. Worth the trip!

We took the funicomare to go to the hill to visit the castle uptown. Easy to find and for 1,5€ euros you can pick it without queue in our case.

The funicular is a lovely way to move between towns. It only takes about 2 mins and is good experience. It is very reasonably priced and we were lucky there was no queue or wait time but I believe this can be an issue at...More

Very nice using those funiculars and some of the stations were very modern and quite easy to understand buying your tickets but more difficult on the top when you needed pennies

We arrived on Saturday and there were long queues in the hot sun. We didn't wait longer than 15 minutes and it was worth the ride because the city Alto is worth it. Check out the funicular cafe at the top for brilliant views.

A cheap and fast way to get up to the old city of Bergamo. We payed only 10,40 euro for four people and it took about 3 minutes to get to the top. The price includes the ride down as well.
