Many ppl in Nice and Cannes told us to go market, only migrants, dirty place, no Italian sellers only made in HK or Corea and pretending Italian hand made when they jus put stickers of Italian trade but think dull we are?? Only Veggy Market In station street was amazing...fresh producers veggy, fresh fish, mushrooms...

Market Friday
Sep 2019 • Friends
Only one hour from Nice this Italian market is a wonderful opportunity to buy fresh fruit and vegetables of quality - fish too is worth checking out . Cheeses, hams and flowers plus central Xxmillia has good shops for leather bags and latest Italian fashion Stop off for lunch typically Italian in one of the terraced restaurants near the station

Loosing the allure
Aug 2019
My Riviera holiday pilgrimaces to the Friday market maybe coming to an end even though I found the leather bags I was looking for. The quality and variety of products has been going down constantly, I don't anymore find interesting things to buy. Ventimiglia used to have also other shops selling Italian products, only last year I bought a very nice Bugatti espresso pan, but the shop near the station had closed down. On the bright side there was a new nice cafeteria in the small park in the middle of the market shaded by trees.

An experience

Come early, parking can be tricky. It was difficult getting around with a stroller so bring a carrier if you can. Good deals on leather goods but be carful for irritable vendors roaming the streets. If a guy tries to get you to hold a piece of rope, run! that bracelet will cost you $$$$.

Lots of cheap tat and crowds
Aug 2019 • Family
Went to the Friday market as it was recommended. Awful place full of cheap, poor quality goods and unrealistic fake knock offs. Crowds of people on a hot and humid a day. Not worth visiting unless you like cheap leather goods.

A Must Go to
Jun 2019 • Couples
This is an incredible market with everything you could want, it is huge and is held on Fridays. We were staying in Menton, France, and it is just a short train ride to Ventimiglia. One of my favourite purchases were leather gloves, you need to shop around as they range from E8.00 to E50.00. There are so many bargain and lots of cotton dresses for the ladies.

Bargains Galore at the Friday Market
Jan 2019 • Couples
We crossed the border for the Friday market and loved it, both the regular indoor and the weekly outdoor. The indoor market is great for silk flowers, plants, pasta, rabbits and cacti! On the outdoor area, there are still a lot of obvious fakes, especially handbags, but these days they don’t have the actual real logo on, which is good to see. Bargains to be had if you’re into fur, cashmere, scarves and small leather items. There were no hawkers here at all as the police were patrolling. Spend an hour or two, you’ll enjoy it, especially as the stallholders were all polite, with very little beseeching when you walked past. There’s a great pebbly beach just behind, where you can unwind.

Leather bags for ten
Jun 2018 • Solo
I can't resist bargains of quality products such as small leather bags in bright colours made in Italy for 10 euros. On my second visit to the market it took me some time to understand that even the Chinese were selling leather not plastic after carefully studying and sniffing the products, so I bought four more. Linen summer clothes are also abundant and available in comfortable sizes, as in all markets the quality control falls on the customer. You should really consider if you want to buy counterfeit bags in plastic from illegal immigrants, there is a fine starting at 200 euros payable by the person making the purchase, police survey the area constantly.

Treasure hunt for kids
Aug 2017 • Family
It is huge and if you want to see it all, reserve a day so that you will be able to take a break and have a drink or bite. Our kids had fun in searching for the 'treasures' using their pocket money. Most of the stands offer general items, but each time I managed to find something unique.

Boring tat
Sep 2017 • Couples
The market is very extensive but is full of the same boring stalls. There are a couple of hidden gems if you have the patience to walk incredibly slowly to find them. Obviously they are trying to earn a living but for the rubbish they were selling it all just seemed a bit overpriced. Not a location for the bargain hunters.
