Was really hopeful to see this, but after reading comments here and doing some reasearch that this is not the original house but a later reconstruction, and especially after seeing the enormous queue I decide not to go inside. From outside place looks pretty tired,...More

This isn't the house where Columbus was born. It is a reconstruction and so it looks like it. Don't make the effort to go see it.

I was initially very hopeful before visiting this place thinking it would take me back to that era when Columbus used to live there. Unfortunately, it that didn't happen. There is absolutely nothing in the house except for a dining table, a couple of mannequins...More

Not actually the house in which Columbus was born, it's an 18th-century reconstruction. Seemingly, the house that may or may not have stood on the site and was destroyed during a 17th-century bombardment of the city. The original reconstruction had been a far grander affair...More

Nothing much to see, except for the fact that one of the most famous residents of Genova is said to have lived here.

I wouldn’t waste my money going inside. There is nothing really to see. A film that tells nothing of Columbus. Could be good but sadly not. Look from the outside only.

Very small €3.00 admission not a lot to see Although a reconstruction I presume it is built on actual birth site and he was born there for that I thought worth it.

This is a small building is on the spot that the Colombo family lived at in the late 1400s. This is not the original house but was rebuilt in the 1600s. It is old and worth the few Euros to visit. Fortunately, the building was...More

We just walked past (the reviews from those who had taken the tour were not positive, and after seeing how small it is in person, I could imagine how quickly it would be over) The place looks interesting, and we found just seeing it was...More
