We visited during the Rolli days festival so got free entry everywhere. This is one of the biggest and best of Genoa's palaces and has a beautiful exhibition of paintings and other art. Not to be missed so that one can get a true feel of Genoa in olden days.

The palace is wonderful, even though is not in a perfect state. The painting collection has many works of true interest. One Veronese, a few Van Eycks, and many other from not famous Italian artists. The palace has a lot of nice and peculiar details

Palazzo Rosso is a beautiful building among MANY on via Garibaldi. You can't miss it when you are on via Garibaldi, colored in red. The rooms are spacious and there are fine arts to be admired. Loved it.

We were really looking forward to visiting here but it was such a let down. The palace is quite unkempt and scruffy which was a surprise given its heritage. The art collection, as mentioned in other reviews, was limited in decent pieces. Some were just plain awful. The apartments further up got better but you still left thinking if you hadn't been you life would not be the worse for it. The better art collection was the other side of the road at palazzo bianco. A much better visit. Having travelled all over Italy you tend to find if you've seen one italian religious painting you pretty much get the idea of what the rest are going to be like. …
