The castle is at the top of a steep staircase, but it is worth the climb for the views of the village. It was once part of a series of towers that were built along the coast to provide early warning of approaching pirates. It...More

The cost is 1,50 Euros to go up to the castle. You can't actually go inside of the castle (at least not when we went in October 2018), but it gave you a nice and different perspective of the ocean and city of Vernazza.

Short Climb from the main harbor of Vernazza to spectacular views of the Conque Terre area and Monterosso. There is a cash only fee (1.50 euro pp) to enter despite the Cinque Terre (train + land) pass

Great view up here, but the tiny castle was closed off, perhaps for repairs. You can't go up to the top of it. But the area around the castle is an amazing view for the sunset.

One of the greatest view to 5terre. Do not leave it out! Go up, after some steps you will have a nice panorama.

This shouldn’t even be listed as an actual attraction, because it’s nothing more than a lookout over Vernazza. And it’s not even a good one, because the view is blocked by houses. The ‘castello’ consist of nothing more than 1 tower that you cannot even...More
