Pretty much closed, as it was when we last visited Cinque Terre in April 2013! Maybe a symptom of the Italian economy? Still there is a small amount of track available form the Manarola end and an even smaller amount from the Riomaggiore end. Make...More

It’s unfortunate that a major tourist trail is still closed after so many years. Shame on the Italians for taking tourist’s money and not delivering. The city where I’m from had a major flood and all walking bridges were restored within 2 years and we...More

Is Half Life 3 out? no. Is the trail open? no. Coincidence?, I don't think so. My hope is they'll come back together at some point in the future. Meanwhile, confirmed best Italian vaporware 2018.

The trail is temporarily closed but the signage is permanent. Make of that what you will. I came here in 2011 a day after the floods. That potentially closed the trail, although some restoration work has obviously been done it’s not opening any time soon....More

There were throngs of disappointed people who flocked here on the folklore. Despite being closed for years, it’s not updated or mentioned anywhere by the govt running this place. Posting a pic of the view at the start of the trail. You walk for 10...More

This iconic 20 minute walk is currently closed and has been for years. The various Cinque Terre websites state this but do not have any information on when it might re-open. There is no access from Riomaggiore but from the train station at Manarola you...More

The trial has been closed for 6 years now , and apparently no one tells you about that until you get there and hit a closed window door. I don't even know why they still talk about it, you think you can walk between Manarola...More

Sorry for the late answer. The path is blocked between Manarola and Riomaggiore. I am not sure if it is Open i 2017. I heard they talked about 2018. So do not expect this.
