Wonderful 1930s modernist building with a helicoidal ramp from ground to first floor housing mostly fruit and veg stalls on the ground floor. Beautiful fresh produce. Not really intended for tourists.

This market is a local market with basic fruit, veg and some other shops selling household needs. It is not particularly picturesque or touristy.

We camre to this market hoping to find some nice seafood, since we are in a town with a large harbour we didnt expect to struggle. Half of the stalls hete were empty, and the 1 fish stall was a joke. It sold 2 types...More
