Reaching the Cathedral and the grounds does involve a steep walk if you decide to take the time to walk. You can of course take a taxi which would cost about 8 euros from the city or there is a bus which costs about 1.50...More

It takes a little bit of effort to find - which ever way you choose to approach it involves a bit of a hike - but it is absolutely worth the time and effort to get here. The attractive stone exterior has an atmospheric interior...More

The views from here are vast. There is plenty to see and do for families, entry to the castle next door is reasonable too.

The cathedral was built one thousand years ago. We have been fascinated by this place and advise you to have a look. If you like spiritual places with history, go there :-).

A big uphill walk to see this place and while the main building are in tact, the rest of the surrounding artefacts have not been and is very disappointing.

Well worth the climb to the top of the hill. You can also take in the castle next door. At the front of the biulding yo can pay 1 euro to have the areas lit - well worth it.

We chose to take the umpteen steps up to the Cathedral but when we reached the top it was worth it. The church itself is modest but full of history and the view is lovely

It may not look like a lot from the outside but inside is pretty spectacular. The views of the city are also lovely from the area.

This lovely medieval cathedral is pleasantly understated for a prominent Roman Catholic place of worship in Italy. It provides a wonderfully cool and serene sanctuary in order to both contemplate God... and physically recover from the hot and grueling walk up the hill from town!
