We went in after visiting the Roman Surgeons House as the 150 instrument finds are kept here. My sister-in-law and I loved this. The reconstruction of the house was fantastic for the children to picture what they had just seen in real life. Even the...More

The downstairs section covers the Roman period and is as you would expect from a museum. Upstairs the galleries showcase a hidden gem of Rimini; hundreds of amazing paintings line the walls of the old museum building. Worth spending an hour or two, the Roman...More

The archaeological section is very well done, and present interesting objects. Paintings are of diverse qualities, with masterpieces like the Bellini, and Guerchin. A unique piece of quattrocento fabric, for costume lovers. A place to go.

Went to the museum as it also owns the 'Surgeon's house' and found most of what was in the house there, but it also has a nice art collection besides other historical objects and, during my visit, an interesting exhibition on Fellini's Casanova. The staff...More

The roman surgeon's house in Rimini is one of the most interesting roman excavations in Italy. The archaeologists have been careful to show the different layers of its history, so you can view the original floors and walls, see the burned window grating as a...More
