This mausoleum is beyond what one would expect from an Ostrogoth king. Notice the unique architecture.

We visited the mausoleum on Sunday when the entrance was free:):):). The environment is maintained and nice. It is certainly worth to enter the mausoleum and take a look at the huge marble bath. It's unfortunately all, so the question is - it's worth to...More

Gothic style made of Istrian stone, using Roman engineering. The two story Mausoleum is unusual for Italy. On second floor is a porphry tu. It is worth seeing.

It's not great: a hulking thing which has presumably seen better days. But the ticketing makes you wonder. We paid for two and were given a single ticket. On enquiry I was told it admitted two people; when I went back and asked how this...More

I’m sure it’s supposed to be a coffin but it would be the largest lump of carved porphyry that I have ever seen. Not much compared to the other churches and tombs.

I felt tight for thinking I wasted the 4 Euro entrance fee. I'm sure most towns would surely be proud to have the 1500 years old tomb of a Byzantine emperor as a landmark, but, perhaps it's because most of the other sights in Ravenna...More
