The museum is housed in two communicating cloisters and contains a few of the rare Roman relics from Ravenna, like parts of the huge 40 meters wide Arch built by Emperor Claudius.

Seemed quite dry and unloved as a museum. Some interesting artefacts though and the frescoed theatre is worth seeing

We visited this museum in only 2 hrs, but it schould take at least double that time. The museum is next to San Vitale and needs an extra ticket of 10€, free for under 12, valid for few days. The exhibits range from prehistoric age...More

The general concept and layout of the museum are a bit puzzling. But the exhibits are very good, definitely worth visiting.
