“Not for the market- DON'T BUY THERE, high prices for the food.”
mercante di fiori is an italian footwear shop, in the heart of the historic center of Rome. it has a wide range of real leather shoes. women, men and children all produced by hand. excellent value for money.
The prices are really high in this small market, and if you don't know how much you should pay for things, you'll fall into this tourist trap.
the streets near the market, however, are really nice for shopping and just wandering around.

Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural
storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
