Beautiful gem. We were touring the Colosseum and the ruins at night and came upon this quaint church. Unfortunately it was closed in the evening. It drew us back and we had service there later in the week. Not something to go out of your...More

The line to the Palatine Hill was too big, so we decided to take a detour up the side of the hill entrance. Up the hill, along the road are some murals of the Via Sacra, you arrive at a simple church and convent. We...More

On my free day in Rome, I accidentally found myself climbing this small hill; then saw and prayed the stations of the cross along the way,(as I was able to remember them); but each stop led a bit closer to the door of this monastery...More

This is a lovely little (not to say - tiny) convent, located on the Palatine hill. We reached it by accident, as it was not on any guide of the Palatine hill, but it was both tranquil and beautiful. A lovely gem on the hill.

Climbed to this church on the Palatine Hill to look around to find volunteer Adriano giving guided tours of the Church, Sacristy and monastery garden. The garden was delightful and had wonderful views over Rome and although the Wisteria was not yest in flower, there...More

Most people seem to end up here due to bad signposting (we walked up hoping to find the entrance to the Roman Forum...), BUT we are so glad we stumbled upon it! If you find yourself here, don't just take a quick glance and leave...More

Seemed like it's easy to stumple upon this little church when trying to approach Arch of Constantine, 'cause everyone thought it's the road to the entrance, but nobody seemed to mind, 'cause it's a pretty and quiet uphill walk. With so many to see in...More

If all roads lead to Rome, then they all end here.
Piazza Venezia and the Ancient City are the very
epicenter of the Eternal City. Within a 360-degree
turn, Roman history unrolls in front of you, from its
ancient beginnings to its 21st century
transformations. Whether it’s those historical
playgrounds known as the Roman and Imperial Forums, or
the side-street shops, trattorie, and churches, this
