The 2nd floor and half the ground floor were closed. Still 7€ entrance fee. The paintings were nice, but the atmosphere was disappointing. Staff was bored to the bone, toilets very luxurious but without paper towels.. Potentially nice but for now disappointing.

The audio tour is a must to appreciate the intricacy of the art within this Palazzo. Listening to the explanations on the various Bernini Portrats of Barberini as well as the paintings especially by Raffaelo and Caravaggio amongst others.

this quiet elegant ex papal residence has some wonderful works. It is just worth going for the couple of Caravaggio. The ceilings are also amazing and a staircase or two to wonder over. Interesting that gems like this are not flooded with people

We totally found this palace by chance as we were just wondering around in the city. Entry was free, not sure if it's Sunday or some special day, otherwise entry fee on a normal day is only a few euros. It wasn't busy in there...More

Former digs of the Sforza family (of Milano fame), this palace was purchased by a member of the Barberini family, who will later become Pope. It's not by chance the ceiling of the main floor has a huge Pietro da Cortona fresco emphasizing Barberini power....More
