The Piazza dei Mercanti is THE place to be if you are looking for a local vibe! It feels like a world away from the Piazza Navona that is full of tourists and tour groups. The area is chilled, multi generation families sat eating dinner together basking in the sun. A really calm and Italian experience is available here. There is plenty of history and interesting sites to check out, all with quieter streets and a true local atmosphere! I would go back in a heartbeat.

This is the right place to spend an evening, enjoying the local atmosphere, admiring the historical buildings and having a great diner. If you want to feel a bit of a true Roman life in the city, you should come here!
