Not far from the Termini station, this area of greenery is frequented by locals but also is a bit of a dodgy area. It dies contain the ruins of Trofei di Mario.

Close to the Termini Station we went here to enjoy the park and it's beautiful monuments. Close by you can stop for a drink in one of the terraces or restaurants here.

There's little special here, but it's only a short walk from Termini Station and a nice spot for a picnic. There are mostly locals here and, of note, the remains of an historic fountain, the Trophy of Marius. If you're heading to San Giovanni, you...More

However, that aside there is cheap shopping and eateries to be had, not your typical high-end, that is common in Rome. It is a slightly dodgy area so be aware of your, bags. the park is also worth a visit, the ruins are interesting as...More

For a piazza which is supposed to be the largest in Rome, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II is a rather "sad" one. Very neglected, poorly maintained and does not have anything of real interest to see. It is surrounded by "gardens", but they are also poorly...More

Small ruins in what looks like a local park. Unfortunately, as many others have said the fountains are not working. It could be maintained better.

This is a detour, not a destination. We stayed at an apartment nearby and visited multiple shops and my wife ran around the park each morning for her daily run, but other than a quick glance, it is nothing special.

Wow! The photo posted as the cover photo here in June 2017 makes this piazza look like a neighbourhood setting, and it is anything but! The piazza is a wild whirlwind of activity and TRAFFIC. If you wanted to have a place to test the...More

We have been there many times and this time we brought kitty treats to feed the cats. They live in the ruins there and many people see that they are fed and watered. They even have little individual houses under the trees.
