We accidentally landed in this park and it was a superb park. The view of the Colosseum is just breath taking from there. Its a nice place to just go for a walk.

This park can be found next to the Colosseum on a hill which ensures a nice overview to the Colosseum. The park is unfortunately very unmaintained, dirty and full of homeless people. Well, hard to say if it is worth a visit or not. You...More

This park, a little bit of greenery which is close the Coliseum in Rome. It has its bit of historical remains but it is also rather sketchy.

This park is right next to the Colleseum so we thought it would be a nice spot for picnic lunch. We were wrong. Even the beautiful sunshine could not disguise the unmaintained lawns and overflowing rubbish bins. This park is dirty and we would not...More

The Park of Colle Oppio has several excavations going on with a number of fragments. One that is more "modern" is the square Piazza Martin Lutero: Teologo tedesco della Riforma (1483-1546), was inaugurated Wednesday, September 16, 2015, in the Park of Colle Oppio, close to...More

We spent an early morning in the park enjoying the sunshine and was reasonably pleased with it as we were very close to the Colosseo. Walking through later in the day a couple of times revealed a relatively persistent police presence and some not-so-upstanding citizens...More

Strolled down from behind into the park and initially didn't realise where I was. Stumbled upon entry to Domus Aurea (of course, no entry without reservation) and continued over difficult terrain behind the Domus Aurea and then entered the park - I was so terribly...More

This park is an embarrassment even to a dirty city. I walked the park and could not believe that Rome or Google Maps would consider this a park. It is clear that a mower has not touched this place in years. The park contains ruins...More

I am from Rome and old enough to remember the good ol' days when this was a magical place with unmissable views of the Coliseum and Fori. Nowadays it is not a safe area - avoid at night - filthy and depressing.

We stopped off here for a picnic lunch whilst visiting Rome hoping for a bit of scenery. Unfortunately the park is full of homeless immigrants with their little camps making this a far from romantic stop off.

Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just
west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as
it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet
for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season,
quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its
cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique
and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime
residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at

This a municipal park right next to the Colosseum. As the for the address, there are four of five streets that border it and multiple entrances. Coordinate with your tour guide as to where to meet.

Hi, the area is not safe after dark. I walked through during the day - from the Colosseum side and found it was quite deserted with only hobo's around. There was an area where many people were strolling, some with babies in... More
