My husband and I did 2 tours with the company: Twilight of Trastevere and Taste of Testaccio. Both were amazing. It's the best way to discover Rome and escape the tourist trap. If you have to pick one, I would go for Twilight of Trastevere. The Trastervere neighbourhood was awesome. And what about the food! Miam! Our tour guide, Sara,... More

We LOVED our tour with Domenico! We had delicious food, made new friends, & learned Italian phrases. Do this on your 1st day so you can go back & eat the food again!

This is the best "tour"/experience I've had in Italy. Italian Master Sommelier Marco Lori offered us six courses and taught us how to pair with wine. Not only did he show us excellent combinations, he also showed us not so good ones. It was so informative and he was very gracious, and very funny. A good pairing can really make... More

Our guide, Domenico, was the best guide a person could ask for. He had a great personality and knowledge base and was just an all around cool dude. The food and history behind each shop was amazing and I would highly suggest the tour - especially with Domenico.

We took the Twilight Trastevere tour on April 6, and had a great time. Gianluca, our guide, was funny and enthusiastic and took us on a whirlwind trip of this trendy Roman neighborhood. Even the downpour couldn't dampen our spirits. We got to try out a wide variety of specialties, some of it at restaurants like Da Enzo that are... More

The Twilight Trastevere food tour was brilliant. Our guide Anna was fantastic and very enthusiastic. Anna provided us with lots of interesting history about the food we were eating and the places we visited. The food was amazing and I could not recommend this tour enough.

We did the twilight Trastevere tour last night & could not recommend it enough! Our guide Dario was great! He took us to many different places and had so much to tell us about the food and the neighborhood. He gave us lots of tips on finding the best Italian food on our own after the tour as well. Such... We went on the Taste Testaccio tour. This was a really great tour. Our guide Arturo (Arthur) was excellent. Getting off the beaten tourist track in Testaccio was a great way to see a more genuine side of the food of Rome. The itinerary was great - a number of small tastes from true Rome style pizza through to suppli,... More

Excellent tour off the beaten path. A must do if you are tired of the tourists and hawkers in central Rome. Our guide Kate gave us a great history of the area, introduced us to locals and made it our best day in Rome. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend.

Staying in Testaccio

Neighbourhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighbourhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
