Ok they do have WiFi main reason I entered here. HOWEVER, wow I was blown away by the sheer variety of gourmet international foods offered here. Each room has a specialty. From all the teas, coffees, marmalade’s, honeys, gluten free section, meats, pastas, a whole...More
After tasting a lot of coffee in Rome, I can honestly say that as a coffee lover, Castroni is the best.
They'll make you a cup of coffee just the way it supposed to be, simple, flavorful, rich and creamy.
As a bonus, this place...More
Was walking by when we noticed a huge selection of candies and chocolate inside so we thought we would stop. As soon as we walked in, we realized the candy was just the tip of the ice berg. We found a wonderful selection of international...More
We weren't intending on eating at Castroni's...only shopping for a friend who wanted some Perugina Glacia candies and was having a difficult time finding them. Thanks to Google, discovered that Castroni has, in addition to a multitude of other product from around the world, a...More
The store is huge and has a lot of local produce available for sale (e.g. coffee, chocolate, cured meat etc). It's popular with the locals and business seems brisk. However, some items may be more expensive here than elsewhere. It's still a good place to...More

Just a famous coffee place which sells all kinds of food (coffee beans mixtures/chocolate/sweets/marmalade from England for example). Specialized in foreign goods from all over the world but has also local sweets and other specialties. Ideal for finding a little culinary gift.
We were here twice in 2 days during our 4 night Rome stay. Could be slightly pricey but this is a great place to buy souvenirs (especially food related items, they have them all!). They also have a section for international food including Japanese, Thai,...More
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets,
quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

Yes, they will vacuum pack. I went to the one on via Nazionale which is not large. Maybe go to there original store which is the biggest. If you are in the via Nazionale area, almost across from Castroni is a supermarket called Conad. I bought vacuum pack cheese there. Also up from piazza de Repubblica at the start of via Nazionale is a Carrefour and I bought vac pack there also.
