Visited in late evening, just near sunset. Great view and environment. Weather was good, enjoyed going up and view from height. Place was humming with activity.

They're steps, aren't they? Loads of steps. They go up. They also go down. There's people walking on them, and people sitting on them.

We were able to see the steps after dark, and watch the surrounding streets light up! It was wonderful, but watch out for scammers. There were several people giving "gifts" to tourists and then asking for money. Everything from a painting, a rose, or bracelets...More

Very busy even on a quiet Thursday in November. Don’t be caught eating on the steps ‘cos you’ll get the police whistling at you. Like a number of the Rome sites the steps are almost lost in the surroundings.

Just stairs to me. Nothing really to see for me. I don’t think it was worth the time to see this place.

The Spanish Steps are always quite nice with a view over parts of Rome from the top. One of the problems, is at the top, where flower sellers are trying to stuff a rose in your wife's hand so you will buy it. They are...More

They are steps filled with trash and cigarette butts. Don’t know what the attraction is. All the shops near the steps are high end and expensive. All the restaurants and gelato places are expensive too. Glad I did it but still wondering what the big...More

From its original role as ancient army training fields
to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most

Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with

best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a
fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to

I was in Rome latter part of June this year and construction was going on around the area leading to the Spanish Steps, but not immediately marring the sight and spoiling photo opportunities.

Yes you can, there are tons of websites offering symbolic weddings everywhere in Rome. Bare in mind it is always a crowded place, you will be center of attention to hundreds.

Try calling the royal suite it's on my reviews as it's based on Spanish steps the buskers are there most evenings so maybe they could get a name for you so you could connect with them
