Unique concentration of historical heritage in relatively small area. You will find a talking point virtually on every street not to mention an abundance of cafes and restaurants where you will be able to relax

We chose to walk around this area , as suggested by our guide book. It was great just basically 'poking ' around and gathering in the atmosphere. Super.

This is a nice area to wonder around and make discoveries. With narrow cobbled streets and incredible architecture, churches, palaces, fountains and monuments, this is the historical centre of Rome.

Centro Storico - the historical center of Rome is full of monuments - the Pantheon, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona - with its fountains, palaces, churches, the magnificent churches - Santa Maria del Popolo, Chiesa di Sant' Ignazio, and Basilica di Santa Maggiore.

We were lucky to be staying in this area and it was beautiful. Everything was easy to find from this part of Rome, including great bars & restaurants. Not to mention fashion shops - both expensive & very good prices, and delicious ice cream!

There are areas for high end shopping (I'm not a big traveling shopper however... I saw them while walking around) Nice boutiques around the Spanish Steps and Trevi fountain.
