Loved the caves, you can see stalactites from more than 50 million years. Good place to visit on your way from Rome to Naples, or around Rome. Price totally worth it. The tour guide was really friendly and full of knowledge. Totally recommend it!!!!

An amazing trip in a rather pristine and well maintained cave system. Maybe too much artificial light. Worth to visit especially during the wet season. The guide was great giving a lot of information.

The one hour long tour takes you through a nice cave, which is well lit and paved for easy walking. Highlight of the tour was our guide Davide. He showed tremendous enthusiasm and knowledge of the cave, animals in it and the local area. We...More

There are a lot of beautiful formations, lots of bats just flying around the cave and even a waterfall if you are lucky. Our guide, Davide, was great, he also spoke in english and made the tour a lot more interesting and fun.

We saw signs for the Gotto of Pastena while driving around in the Formia area. We did not have a map , but were able to find the caves easily just by following the signs posted at every major intersection. The cost per adult was...More

A guide with profound knowledge of prehistoric, geological, and chemical issues showed us the impressive cave with its enourmous caverns, narrow passages, lakes, waterfalls, and the main attraction, dripstones of all shapes. You might recognize ghosts, elephants, apes, formed in millions of years by small...More

The tour was about 40 minutes long and cost 9E each. The guides only speaks in Italian so we just had to appreciate the caves for themselves. Really enjoyed watching the bats flying around. Nice little excursion and made a change from all the Roman...More

One of the best grottos I have ever visited, and it's about a kilometre deep with narrow walkways in some parts, Phipps don't do it any justice, a visit is a must.

Following the brown signs all the way from sperlonga, we were amazed alone by the mountainous drive. By comparison, however, the caves were astounding. You would expect, with signs in 3 languages, a multilingual tour guide, though.
