The grand theatre is still mostly there, even a section at the top.

confusing as they are for the coliseum which is different from the theatre. On the day we went there was work in progress so we could only view from the outside. Shame because it looked in fabulous...More
We weren't expecting this huge theatre and just happened upon it as we were walking around Pompeii. It is in very good condition and has a good ambience. It helps give an ides of the size of the original City.
