This is probably the best example available today to understand how the old roman roads looked like in the past and it is full of such an amazing landmarks that it is difficult to describe how great it is

I am very impressed! Underfloor heating, raised pavements and curb stones as well as a very real sense of timelessness. The Via Abbondanza is eerie as one can so very easily imagine those who came before this present generation going about their daily routines.

I found it interesting that the fountains and the water lines were so well preserved. I had no idea that the Romans were so ingenious that they could lay such small pipes and bring fresh water to their homes.

The ancient walkways and streets of Pompeii are still a beautiful way to step back in time. You can walk the streets and imagine how these ancient families lives, worked and played.
