We popped in here during a private tour and our guide explained how the rain water was gathered and then stored to be used for the household. It is definitely worth a visit.

To have an old laundry as colourful and as decorated as this one in ancient Roman times speak loud of their sense of beauty. This building has so many great features it is amazing

Somehow the togas had to get clean and white. Here in the Laundry they were washed in urine and came out white and bright. How interesting. Do go see

This was one of the city's laundries and you can see some of the vats that were used to wash the clothes. It was also used for the preparation of cloth and wool.

This building was a laundry area for the Pompeii townspeople. It was interesting to learn about the laundry techniques used to launder clothes.
