We visited this magnificent church, on the advice of Giusy, guide of the Church of Santa Luciella, who made us passionate about the history of these wonderful places. Guided by Giusy, or by other colleagues from the Respiriamo Arte association, you can visit the museum complex of silk art inside the Church: The guys are all prepared and passionate, they also highlight the importance of this site , to let us experience Naples from a historical-cultural point of view, recovering abandoned sites!
A special thank you to Giusy and all the guys from the Association! Compliments!

This beautiful church is located in Spaccanapoli. The two statues outside are by the same sculptor who created the magnificent Veiled Christ in the Sansevero Chapel, Giuseppe San Martino.
The church of Saints Filippo and Giacomo is also called the art of silk as Naples was famous for the processing of silk and it is very interesting to take a guided tour of the basement of the church itself. The envelope is edited by a very active association, RESPIRIAMO ARTE, which also oversaw the restoration of the nearby church of Santa Luciella, very interesting to see as it is part of the numerous churches that bear witness to the very particular cult of the dead that was practiced in this city. Saint Lucia or Lucuella was the patron saint of piperneri, workers of piperno, the gray stone very present in Naples who, while working, risked their eyesight due to possible splinters of marble.

Beautiful church that hides a magnificent story that the girls of the cultural association "we breathe art" were able to tell with passion. They guided us on an interesting visit inside the church which hides catacombs and archaeological areas that have recently been restored and opened to the public. I therefore recommend the guided tour. Special thanks from Agatha and Federico for the wonderful experience!

While walking through the streets of Spaccanapoli I entered the church. Meno male che ho deciso di fare la visita... Guide Lisa was very kind, all the information is interesting and made me know a little better the history of Naples and a place not to be missed. Without a doubt, the visit is worth it. Thank you!

A small jewel in the heart of the historic center of Naples, where you can relive the true Neapolitan soul made up of culture and history. A round of applause to the guys from the association we breathe art (Lisa and Giovanni) who accompanied us with passion and hospitality in this beautiful experience to discover now forgotten places. I highly recommend it, it's really worth it.

We didn't find this place open the first time we visited so had to come a second time around. There is no detailed information available in the church about the huge number of icons, sculptures and paintings so come prepared if you want to get the most out of your visit or arrange a guide. Without either then its all a bit overwhelming.
We'll have to come back again, next time a little better prepared...

It was a nice church, not as spectacular as it looks on the photos but beautiful. There were no other tourists when we went on a Saturday morning, surely deserves more attention

I had chance to bump into this church which is being refurbished by a wonderful team of Italian guys willing to give back to the community this lost piece of grace. I do recommend their tours in this incredible jewel of architecture which those people are so strenuously trying to bring back to its primordial splendor.

My guide was an extremely kind young lady and the visit was very very interesting. You'll hear the stories of young girls saved from prostitution and of a powerful corporation and you'll also see one more hidden masterpiece: a wooden altar with an amazing perspective.
Very very nice.
