Church of San Francesco di Paola, built in the Neoclassical style in the mid 19th century, it holds a long colonnade on either side of the main structure and an impressively large dome which we saw from the inside too.

The ceilings are ridiculously amazing and that’s just 1 element. My partner took numerous photos. I lit a candle (push button electric- very nice) and wrote in the prayer book in the confession chapel. As a Christian Ifelt very at peace in the basilica and...More

When you walk into the plebiscito square it's impossibile not to see the amazing architecture of this building. The inside is even more beautiful! If I just think on how good they were to construct such a monument already century ago, I'm still amuse! For...More

This is a very unusual looking church as you approach it from the piazza and inside it is stunning. There was a mass on, as it was a Sunday but feel free to walk about. Its free to enter so worth a visit, even if...More

The outside of this church is definitely worth the visit to the square. The inside of the church was okay, it is kind of like the Pantheon in Rome. If it is open when you are there, by all means go in, but if it...More

This beautiful church with its reference to the Pantheon almost dominates the piazza. The beautiful lion statues and pillars outside are very impressive. I enjoyed being inside but sadly you cannot take photos inside. After seeing many churches I can really not remember what it...More

It is a very nice church, both from the outside and the inside. It reminds me somehow to the Pantheon in Rome (and the external colonnade to St. Peter's Basilica). It is imposing and makes a key part of Piazza del Plebiscito

The church itself is more impressive from the outside, and you really cant miss it when in Naples, situated in the big square of Piazza Plebscito, just across the Royal Palace. Inside it is just a big dome, but that is really magnificent!

Visited this church after the Castel Nuovo and its wonderful Museo Civico ,prior to visiting the Palazzo Reale as I was sort of following the 'Royal Naples ' route all day. The church is open from 8am to midday and then from 4pm to 6pm...More

From the outside, it looks a very impressive building, with its place dominating the main square, and its magnificent rows of columns.. We tried a couple of times to get in, but the main doors closed. 3rd time lucky, (it closes for a few hours...More
