impressive fortress castle between the main town and the sea. You cant miss it with its blackened stone. One of two worth seeing in Naples.

Castel Nuovo is an imposing medieval castle in the center of town. Exploring it was great, but so little of it appeared to be open to visitors, perhaps because it was November. There was actually a brochure here, compared to the Castel dell'Ovo and the...More

Explore the exterior of the castle which is impressive but don’t bother paying to go inside the courtyard or interior as there is nothing here of any interest.

Extremely underwhelming. Paid 6 euros for entrance and 1 for audioguide. Most of the castle is closed off, only sections open were rooms with art from Naples, not particularly interesting. The audioguide was dry and unengaging. Perhaps as others have suggested it would have been...More

This is a hulking brute of a castle and it is no better inside. It dominates the harbour and when we went in September the access was difficult due to “road works” with no evidence of any work going on. Inside some of the more...More

This is one of few venues where we saw a lot of guided parties and perhaps it benefits from additional story telling. On the whole the exhibits are not well cared for, signage is poor and visitor facilities basic. I haven't seen so much dark...More

We visited today, paid 6 euros each and still felt it was a rip-off. None of the art in brochure was available for viewing) including the bronze doors) and the special art exhibit was extra fee. Save your time and money - I tried to...More

Place was shut apparently because of technical and logistic problems, like most of Naples places. Is hard to believe why the people of Naples don't want tourist money! City have nearly 30% unemplyment and they not interested in tourism.
