This is a unique place. Lots of statues have been gathered and displayed here. You could spend days studying what they have here.

People's petty grievances should be disregarded. This is one of the most staggering collections in the world. I just love it.

If you've been to Pompeii, or any of the other excavations, a visit here will enhance your understanding. The model of Pompeii is worth seeing, but stars of the show are the frescos and mosaics unearthed over the years. There is enough in English to...More

What is in the museum is magnificent without saying. How it operates is substandard. Most people won't care but the fact that rooms/ wings are closed down because of problems with staffing/ cost cutting is appalling. They obviously work on the view the average tourist...More

The museum is great and has a wealth of information. Unfortunately the audio guide skips a lot of artefacts and if it does describe something, it is very brief and vague. We should have looked into a guided tour of the museum.

Go if you are in Naples, definitely go if you been to Pompeii and or Herculeum. It completes the picture. Don't forget the audioguide. And plan on being there for a good half day.
