Spaccanapoli is an iconic landmark in Naples, it consists of a main street going straight for several kms, with wonderful churches on the way, typical bakeries and coffee shops, lots of small businesses and people everywhere trying to make a living thanks to tourists. We...More

When you think Napoli you think about this borough full of noise, shops? Alleyways, churches and everything in between. Very atmospheric worth the stroll

We stayed close by and often walked down this street. It is narrow, full of shops, vespas, the odd car and people. It seems as if people are milling and not going anywhere. There are some good souvenir shops in this street. There are many...More

I read so much about this street (which is called via Benedetto Croce, but I feel it is overrated. There are many narrow streets like this with shops on both sides in Naples just as interesting. However, if you are in Naples, take a walk...More

Very nice to walk through this street, check out the shops, get an ice cream and look to the tourists and local visitors.

Get a feel for the city. Interestingly felt more safe down these narrow streets than around the train station area.

Full of tourists like us. Every city has a touristy street and few stand out. Better to navigate your way through the warren of narrow alleys that make up old Naples

Follow this path throughNaples, and you will get to experience the flavor and tempo of the city. You can stop to enjoy sights along the way, and of course, stop for a pastry and coffee. You simply need a map of the city— no need...More

Worth the visit in Napoli. Great restaurants and touristy shops. Busy at all ours of the day especially with the university students.

Surrounding area is very dirty. Sadly the area is run down. Not enough lighting at night. Kindah scary to walk in the alley.

We were there rather late, several evenings, and many shops were still open. Different shops close at different times, but restaurants, bars, dessert bakeries, etc. were open late. Hope this helps.

There is not only ONE answer (as often happens in life....). The waterfront area is beautiful and deserves a day on its own., it's perfect if you're into a romantic mood. Though I do recommend the historic decumani district... More
