Situated to the north west of the ancient centre, this cemetery is within walking distance (just) and is a really worthwhile excursion as long as you don't mind the odd 40,000 skeletons neatly piled around a former quarry. Originally this was well outside the city...More

Cementary in the cave, not as in Palermo but easy to access. Entrance is free - be careful there is always someone with tickets in hand but basically IT IS FREE you do not have to pay.

Something unusual but very interesting. It’s free but I would have been happy to have paid entry. There are little signs dotted about with snippets information. I would recommend visiting the catacombs di san Gennaro on the same day too (this is where a lot...More

The bones and the cave are a sight to see but we are two healthy adults and got a cough and blocked nose in 30 mins.

One of the few places in Naples that was not closed during 10-28th August. It is free and definitely worth the trip. Crazy Italian death Cultus with skulls and figurines and wishes.

It takes a little bit of effort to get here from the cruise terminal....but it is so worth the visit. Lovely underground crypt and lots of skulls and lots of historical info.

It's astonishing. Right in the heart of the city, you can find this hidden, spectacular gem. I felt as death is just part of life, and I went out completely drain from negativity. The place is very clean. I would suggest putting more explanations of...More

Strange, but unique place. Free entry. It is really worth to visit comparing with other paid insights. Keep in mind, that this cemetery has working hours.

The free entry definitely enticed us but I gladly would have paid 5 euros to enter. My friend got some of the best pictures he has taken on our trip. It is eerie looking at the rows and rows of skulls as some of them...More

In coming to the cemetary of the Fontanelle, I didn't know what to expect. However, once you enter, it's really apparent what you are in for. Your mind quickly fills with thoughts about every one of these souls, their lives, who they were, how did...More

No, you will need to catch a bus and walk. Would suggest visiting Catacombs of Naples first, leave them by the rear entrance then 10 mins to the Catacombs of Saint Gaudiosus. from there it is about a 15-20 min walk to the... More

I assume you can google it. It is bit hard to find as the streets are more chaotic there. It took me a couple of back and forth. Well worth it, though!
