The shops on the Camerelle are just fabulous. Even if you are only ever window shopping, the staff change the windows every day. The Dolce and Gabbana is thoroughly spectacular.

As we were in Capri, it was difficult to avoid walking up this street with its designer names and designer prices attracting throngs of people window shopping. Will try to avoid the crowds if I happen to be in the area again.

The shops on Via Camerelle having nothing on Midtown Manhattan, Rome, Milan or anywhere else for that matter. However, unless you have a ridiculous amount of discretionary income then Via Camerelle is better served for window shoppers.

There are fairly regular ferries from Naples (1 hour) and Sorrento (45 minutes) You can also arrange a private taxi boat transfer (much more expensive) If you visit Capri plan to stay on the island at least for one night... More
