Busy centre of Sorrento, the piazza has everything. There are shops, cafes and restaurants. The train station - for trips to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples is close by.

It’s where it all happens - The place to head for to eat, people watch and catch the busses and trains - the hub of sorrento. Very busy and traffic can make crossing the road a problem but pedestrianised at night - it’s great

This is the main square of Sorrento, lovely place to go for a stroll (or "passeggiata") in the evening. Plenty of photographic opportunities. The statue of Sorrento's patron Saint Antonino (who took refuge here during the Lombard invasions) is located in the square as well....More

The piazza Tasso is a great place to sit and watch the world go bye. There are many excellent restaurants and bars in the square and the traffic has been reduced since the city has closed off the Main Street to traffic.

Here is where you can sit at a bar and people watch, or shop in Giorgio Armani on one side of the road and Plaza Italia (Italy’s Primark!) on the other.

Piazza Tasso - the square - is the focal point in Sorrento. The restaurants are close, taxis are here, the police are here and direct the daytime traffic. You can stand on the little sightseeing train, enjoy a tear of coffees just in front of...More

After spending time at most of the cafe bars, eateries around the Piazza Tasso our favourite is the Fauno Bar. Excellent food choice, reasonably priced and good portions. Extremely efficient team for clearing tables to delivering your orders.
