We took bus 19 up to the castle, paid €1.1 pp and bought return tickets from the Tabacchi as well as we didn’t know if there would be anything open up there. However, we didn’t use the return tickets as we saw a steepish path...More

We walked up to the castle on the road which was windy and probably a little dangerous ( in terms of walking on the road). It was also steep but it’s completely manageable in jeans and running shoes if you are relatively fit. The castle...More

What an amazing view of Salerno, the sea, and the surrounding area from this ancient Norman castle situated high above Salerno. Really a beautiful, well preserved castle and worth the effort of getting there.

We visited the castle while in Salerno and visited with Marco. While there, we toured the castle, took lots of pictures of the beautiful views Salerno. We were lucky enough to sample some of the food offered at the castle, which was absolutely amazing.

Fantaatic views are what made this visit worthwhile. The museum was interesting but the castle only mildly so. Finding the entrance wasn't that easy as we first had to find the cafe to buy tickets.

Yes it's pretty, and the views are quite good (if you want views of Salerno and it's port) but that's about it. The museum artefacts are minimal and not worth much of your time. We were in and out within 1 hour and 4€ each...More

Decided to walk off some of the Pizza we had eaten this week, and visit the castle by foot! I looked like a lobster when we arrived! It's a lovely climb once you get over the main road, through a pine forest which looked and...More
