The church is very quiet and inviting. Its free but they accept donations. There is a 2 euro price to go down into the crypts and is well worth it. If you're coming from Rome it'll remind you of the Vatican a little. The paintings...More

You have to visit this amazing cathedral when visiting Salerno. So Peaceful as you walk around. It is truly the jewel in the crown of a lovely city!

The Duomo is well worth a visit. We were there on a Tuesday evening and were fortunate to attend Mass. Lovely interior. The crypt containing the relics of San Matteo is amazing.

There is no entrance fee, and by the way don't forget to visit the crypt.
