This was so not what we expected. We thought it would be a leisurely stroll to see some old mills but the waterfalls, old mills, bridges and narrow paths made the trek one of the most spectacular activities to do in Amalfi.

I just walked the Valle de Ferriere and had no indication that I needed clearance. Pretty sure its ok. Not sure about other trails. I needed a ticket at Cinque Terre trails which I bought at the trail head.
